Mahesh Babu has a magical guru! This can be estimated from the fact that his film released 23 years ago has beaten all the recent films. Mahesh Babu’s film ‘Murari’ was released on 9th August. It was first released on 17 February 2001. This film was directed by Krishna Vanshi.

South superstar Mahesh Babu’s classic film was released on the occasion of Mahesh Babu’s birthday i.e. 9th August. Murari did well by earning Rs 5.25 crore on the first day of its re-release. The film has earned 8 crores worldwide and 7.30 crores in India in just 3 days. Murari has done very well in all the movies released in recent times.

Murari overshadowed other films

On August 2, Ajay Devgan’s film ‘Ooron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ was released. But its performance at the box office was nothing special. The film earned only Rs 2.75 crore in 3 days. At the same time, the earnings of Janhvi Kapoor’s film ‘Ulj’ failed to cross the mark of Murari’s earnings even in a week. In one week, Ulje earned only Rs 7.2 crore. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sarafira’ was also released at the box office, earning only Rs 5.25 crore in 3 days.
