The results of the elections held on June 26 in four constituencies of the Maharashtra Legislative Council were declared. In this, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) won the Mumbai Graduate and Mumbai Teacher seats while the Konkan Graduate seat was won by the BJP. Also, the result about Nasir teacher seat is yet to come.
Let us inform you that polling in Mumbai Graduate, Konkan Graduate, Mumbai Teacher and Nashik Teacher constituencies was held on June 26, in which 1,43,297 voters exercised their franchise, out of which 1,32,071 votes were valid.
Shiv Sena (Uddhav group) leader Anil Parb on Monday won the Legislative Council elections from the Mumbai Graduate constituency by defeating BJP’s Kiran Shelar. In this election, Parab got 44 thousand 784 votes, while Shelar got 18 thousand 772 votes.
Niranjan Davkhare of BJP defeated Ramesh Kier of Congress in Konkan Graduate Constituency. Davkhare got 1 lakh 719 votes while Ramesh Kier got only 28 thousand 585 votes. Apart from this, Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate JM Abhyankar won from the Mumbai teachers seat. He got 4 thousand 83 votes out of 11 thousand 598 valid votes.
