In Pune, Maharashtra, Kalyugi Bhai killed his real sister over a domestic dispute. His wife also supported him in this heinous murder. The accused brother first strangled the sister, then severed her head, arms and legs from her body. All the body parts were thrown into the river to destroy the evidence. The strong current of the river washed away the rest of his body but his torso washed ashore. The police identified him and conducted a post-mortem. The accused brother and sister-in-law have been arrested.

The murder took place on 26th August. On the same day, the police found the dead body of a woman on the banks of Mutha river in Kharadi area of Pune city. His hands and feet were amputated. After investigation, the woman was identified as Sakina Khan. His real sister was brutally murdered by his brother Ashfaq and sister-in-law Hamida for the ownership of the slum-like house. Both came to Sakina’s house and beat her up and cut her into many pieces. The accused dismembered her body in the house and then threw it in Mutha river.

A missing complaint was filed earlier

Sakina’s missing complaint was first registered with the police. When the body of a woman was found on the river bank, the police suspected that it was Sakina’s. Upon identification, the suspicion turned out to be true. A search was made for the rest of his body parts in the river, but due to strong currents, they were not found. A case was registered against unknown accused in Chandannagar police station. The police believe that the brutality was done to destroy evidence and prevent the body from being identified. Seeing the brutality of the incident, the police suspected that personal enmity and close people might be involved.

The brother and sister-in-law confessed to the crime

The police was interrogating everyone in this matter. Meanwhile, the deceased’s brother and sister-in-law had an argument over the house, following which police took brother Ashfaq and his wife and deceased’s sister-in-law Hamida into custody. When the crime branch started questioning, Hamida first confessed to the crime, after which Asfaq also opened up. During the interrogation, he made a shocking revelation.

When she came home, sister made breakfast for brother and sister-in-law.

Accused Ashfaq told the police that his sister Sakina lived in a slum-type house. He wanted to get the house in his name. But every time Sakina refused. There was heavy rain in Pune on 26th August. Sakina was present alone at her house. Then he and his wife reached Sakina’s house. Sakina also offered him tea and water and then the conversation started. As usual, the debate started over the ownership rights of the house where Sakina lived.

First strangled, then cut into pieces

Sakina refused to transfer the house in her brother’s name. After which Asfaq was angry. With the help of his wife Hamida, he first strangled Sakina, resulting in her death. Now the question was how to dispose of the dead body? The rain was also heavy. He thought of dismembering his sister’s body and first severed her head from her neck and then cut off both her legs. After which both the hands were cut off. After which the torso was separated from the body.

Drowned in the flowing river

After which Ashfaq and his wife casually threw the pieces of the sister’s body in a plastic wrap into the swollen river. The river was flooded due to rain. Both his hands, both legs and his head were washed away in the river but due to the increased size and weight of his torso, he made it to the bank, which was seen by some laborers who called the police. Then the case of murder was revealed in the investigation.
