Finance Minister Ajit Pawar made many big announcements while presenting the budget today. Schemes for the weaker sections were also announced in this budget. Know what the announcements are.

Various schemes for weaker sections

  • Determined to achieve the Sustainable Development Goal of ‘universal eradication of poverty in all its forms’
  • Sanjay Gandhi Destitute Grant Scheme and Shravanbal Seva State Pension Scheme for destitutes, widows, disabled and elderly
  • Increase in monthly financial assistance to citizens – from one thousand to one and a half thousand rupees – Distribution of subsidy of Rs 7 thousand 145 crores to 45 lakh 60 thousand beneficiaries in the year 2023-24
  • Establishment of Sant Shri Rooplal Maharaj Economic Development Corporation for the economic, social and educational development of the Betel, Panpimpri and Musli producing Bari community
  • Adequate provision of funds for newly formed and existing corporations
  • ‘Dharamveer Anand Dighe Gharkul Yojana’ for disabled persons – 34 thousand 400 houses will be built in the first phase-
  • Distribution of Electric Vehicles to Disabled Persons
  • Announcement of Third Party Policy-2024 – In the recruitment process as well as in all government schemes, gender option ‘Tritiyapanti’ is available along with men and women – Easier for third parties to get benefits from state government schemes
  • 4000 plot in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai for educational and social activities of Dhangar community
  • Various welfare schemes for domestic workers registered through Maharashtra Domestic Workers Welfare Corporation
  • Limit of Government guarantee on loan for schemes implemented by Maulana Azad Minority Economic Development Corporation from Rs. 30 crores to Rs. 500 crores
  • Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya Yojana is applicable for all the families of the state
  • Health insurance coverage from Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 5 lakh per family – 1,356 types of treatments available through 1,900 hospitals
  • ‘Hindu Hriday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray Appa Dawakhana’ started in 347 places
  • 100 crore Fund for Stabilisation and Liquidity of Credit Institutions
  • Prime Minister Housing Scheme, Ramai Housing Scheme, Shabari, Pardhi and Primitive Housing Scheme, Modi Housing Scheme, Yashwantrao Chavan
  • 35 lakh 40 thousand 491 houses will be built in the next 5 years through Mukta Vasahat Yojana, Punyashlok Ahilya Devi Holkar Gharkul Yojana
  • Provision of Rs 7,425 crore for various housing schemes in the year 2024-25
  • Scheme to provide 12 thousand 954 flats to mill workers in Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation area – remaining flats available
  • Provision of Rs. 1,886 crore 84 lakh for the second phase of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Gramin in the year 2024-25
