Maharashtra Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Chandrashekhar Bawankule’s son Sanket’s odi hit several vehicles in Nagpur’s Ramdaspeth. Two youths have been injured in this accident. The police arrested the driver and the person sitting in it. However, both were later released on bail. The BJP president has demanded an impartial inquiry into the incident.
According to a Sitabaldi police station official, the Audi car first rammed the car of prosecutor Jitendra Sonkamble and then hit a moped at 1 am on Sunday, injuring two youths on board.
Two people, including the driver, were arrested
He said the Audi car hit some other vehicles heading towards Mankapur area. There, the vehicle hit the Polo car at the T-point. Its occupants chased the Audi car and stopped the car driver Arjun Howre and another person Ronit Chittamwar near Mankapur bridge. He was taken to the tehsil police station, from where he was handed over to the Sitabaldi police for further investigation.
A case has been registered for careless driving and other charges on Sonkamble’s complaint, said an official from Sitabaldi police station. Havre and Chittamwar were later released on bail. Further investigations are underway.
