Political activities have intensified in Maharashtra ahead of the upcoming assembly elections. Assembly elections are to be held in the next two months. All political parties, including the Mahavikas Aghadi group, have started preparations for the elections. For the last few days, the leaders of Mahavikas Aghadi have been meeting in a five star hotel in Mumbai. In this meeting, first of all, a decision was taken regarding the Mumbai meetings. Different claims were made by each party in this meeting.
There are total 36 assembly seats in Mumbai. Out of these seats, Shiv Sena’s Thackeray faction is willing to contest 20 to 22 seats. The list of possible 22 candidates of the Thackeray group has come out.
Let us tell you that Uddhav Thackeray’s group had demanded to reveal the CM’s face during the assembly elections, but the other constituent parties of Mahavikas Aghadi, Congress and NCP Sharad Pawar, have rejected Uddhav Thackeray’s demand. These leaders say that elections should be contested for the post of CM without a face.

According to information received from sources, the Thackeray Group in Mumbai is holding preliminary discussions on 22 names. Thackeray group leader Kishori Pednekar said that along with the current MLAs, new youths are also being given a chance in the assembly elections. Kishori Pednekar said that the decision taken by party chief Uddhav Thackeray will be acceptable to all of us.
At the same time, in the last assembly elections, the Shiv Sena won 14 seats under the leadership of Uddhav Thackeray. Mumbai is considered as Thackeray’s stronghold. The Thackeray group won three seats in the Lok Sabha elections. Lost fourth place by a very narrow margin. So for the Thackeray faction, the upcoming assembly elections are more important to prove Thackeray’s supremacy.
