Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan’s debut film ‘Maharaj’ was slated to release on June 14 on Netflix. But now a big news related to this film has come out. It is said that the Gujarat High Court has put a temporary stay on the release of this film. The matter started with the filing of an application. It is being said about Junaid’s film that it contains some things that may hurt religious sentiments.

The film stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Shalini Pandey in lead roles along with Junaid Khan. It is directed by Siddharth P Malhotra. ‘Maharaj’ has been in the headlines for the past few days. It is being said that this picture shows a Hindu priest of 19th century Gujarat in a negative light. According to Peepingmoon’s report, ‘Maharaj’ has not been promoted to avoid controversy.

The whole chaos started with the notice

Netflix, which aggressively markets its content, has remained silent on the film. According to information received, a notice was sent to ‘Maharaj’ from Bajrang Dal. The notice asked that the picture be shown to him before release. However, there is no response from the makers yet.

Neither the film has been promoted nor its trailer has been released. According to reports, the makers of ‘Maharaj’ believe that once the film releases, the audience will judge its content themselves. The trend of boycotting ‘Maharaj’ has also started on social media. Some people on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) say that the monks have been misrepresented.
