The health of Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, President of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust, has deteriorated. He has been admitted to the ICU ward of Medanta Hospital in Lucknow. His condition is critical. A team of doctors is monitoring his health.

Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, president of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust, the organization that built the grand and massive Ram temple in Ayodhya, was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of a private hospital in Lucknow in a critical condition. The capital of Uttar Pradesh went on Sunday.

Treatment was going on in Gwalior before Lucknow.

A health bulletin issued by Medanta Hospital on Monday stated that Mahant Nritya Gopal Das was brought to Medanta Hospital at 6.30 pm on Sunday, September 8, due to urinary problem and low food intake. He has been admitted to the ICU of Medanta under the supervision of Dr. Dilip Dubey.

A health bulletin issued by the hospital said that Mahant Nritya Gopal Das has been ill for the past few days. He was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Gwalior for the past few days but there was no significant improvement in his condition. For this reason Mahant Das was admitted to Medanta Hospital. Currently, his condition is still critical. The hospital said that Medanta Lucknow’s team of medical specialists is continuously treating her well.

An important face of the Ram Mandir movement

Mahant Nritya Gopal Das is the president of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust, the organization that is building the Ram temple in Ayodhya. They are part of the long-running Ram Mandir movement. Mahant Das is counted among the important faces of the movement related to the Ram temple.

Mahant Ram Manohar Das is a resident of Mathura and was born here. Later he left Mathura and went to Ayodhya due to religious activities. In Ayodhya he received initiation from Mahant Ram Manohar Das and also studied Sanskrit. He then took admission in the Varanasi-based Sanskrit University and earned the title of ‘Shastri’. In 1965, at the age of just 27, he was installed as a Mahant during a ceremony in Ayodhya.
