In Neemuch district of Madhya Pradesh, after submitting thousands of petitions demanding investigation and proof documents against corruption, seeing no action, a man took a unique way to wake up the bureaucracy and the authorities. The prosecutor made a long garland of petitions and supporting documents, wrapped them around himself like a python and sent them to the collector’s office, where he demanded an inquiry and strict action from the new collector to eradicate the python of corruption.
Mukesh Prajapati of the village has been continuously accusing the then sarpanch and her husband of corruption of crores in the name of construction and development works in panchayat Kankaria Talai of Neemuch district. Mukesh says that he complained to the Lokayukta along with the facts and also informed the Chief Minister, but no action is being taken by the government from the Neemuch administration.
District Panchayat CEO also involved in corruption!
Mukesh says that in Kankaria Talai itself Rs. 1.25 crores of corruption had taken place, evidence was presented, but corruption is also taking place in its investigation. Mukesh also accused then Zilla Panchayat CEO Guruprasad of being involved in corruption and demanded an ED probe. When Mukesh Prajapati came to the collector office crawling like a python with a tail full of applications, even his clothes were torn. Seeing Mukesh like this, a huge crowd of onlookers gathered.
The Collector ordered a re-investigation
Mukesh told the whole matter to Himanshu Chandra, the new collector of the district. The Collector instructed to re-investigate the whole matter. However, Mukesh came to be the epitome of the python of corruption to warn the government system that if timely action is not taken, this python will swallow the system. Let us tell you that in the neighboring district Mandsaur also, in a similar way, an aggrieved farmer reached the public hearing lying on the ground due to not being able to listen to his problem. Collectors were stunned when this matter reached the government.
