The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has appointed senior IAS officers in three important departments. After IAS Devesh Chaturvedi joined the Central Government, IAS M Devaraj has been appointed as Principal Secretary and Staff. This is the most important position in governance. Along with the appointment, M Devaraj has also been given charge of State GST and Technical Education. M Devaraj Yogi has emerged as the most powerful official in the government.
IAS officer Monika Garg has been given the post of Agriculture Production Commissioner. This is the second important post after Chief Secretary. IAS Bina Kumari Meena has got a big shock. He has been removed from Women Welfare and Child Development Nutrition Department and given charge of AYUSH Department. However, the excise and sugarcane charges will remain with Bina Kumari Meena as before.
IAS Ravindra became Principal Secretary, Agriculture Department
IAS Leena Johri has been made ACS (Additional Chief Secretary) Department of Women Welfare and Child Development Nutrition. IAS Ravindra Nayak has been made Principal Secretary, Department of Agriculture. Ravindra Nayak has been given the additional charge of Livestock along with administration of the Secretariat. It is expected that more IAS officers may be transferred within a week, including district magistrates of some districts.
IAS Devesh Chaturvedi went to the centre
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh government has given relief to IAS Devesh Chaturvedi. Devesh Chaturvedi has been made Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture in the Central Government. Devesh Chaturvedi met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday i.e. today before going to the Centre. Let us tell you that Devesh Chaturvedi was till now the most powerful IAS officer in the Yogi government, but after the Lok Sabha elections he wanted to go to the centre. He had charge of Chief Appointment and Personnel, Agriculture Department and Additional Chief Secretary, Agricultural Production.
