Police have arrested Maulana Mukhtar alias Maulana Chacha, who attempted to rape and molest a seven-year-old girl in Kanpur district. According to information, Maulana’s uncle, who lived in the mausoleum of Gwaltoli police station area, was called Maulana by the people because he used to pray five times a day. Police managed to arrest Maulana from a relative’s house in Gwaltoli itself. After the complaint, the police were busy searching for the accused Maulana.
Some people were keeping an eye on Maulana from Gwaltoli police station area since two days ago. The video he made was presented by the police as evidence in the court. Based on the complaint of the victim’s family, the police registered a complaint under serious sections like BNS-63 and POCSO. The incident of attempted rape of the girl took place two days ago in the evening. When Maulana was taking the seven-year-old girl to his house by luring her with toffee and chocolate, local people, acting on suspicion, chased Maulana and started making videos.
Maulana was found in a suspicious condition
Maulana was seen undressing the girl after giving her toffee. After this, Maulana takes off her clothes, after which the young man informs the people nearby and people reach there and break the door and take the girl out. Seeing the 70-year-old Maulana in this condition, people rush to kill him, but when caught, the Maulana joins his hands and feet and starts apologizing to them. As the crowd swells, Maulana flees, seeing the opportunity.

After the arrest, DCP Central Dinesh Tripathi said that a case has been registered under BNS-63, POCSO and other serious sections. Maulana was hiding in his relative’s house in Gwaltoli area.
The police sent Maulana to jail
