Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, once again echoed with the sound of bullets late on Wednesday night. Here unknown miscreants shot at the history sheeter son of a retired inspector living in Vipul Khand. The inspector’s son has been seriously injured in this incident. He has been admitted to the trauma center in critical condition. When a person has suffered a minor injury. He has also been taken to hospital for treatment. According to the police, the motive behind the incident is yet to be ascertained, but it is suspected that an old enmity over property and contracts led to the incident.

According to ACP Vikas Jaiswal of Lucknow Police Commissionerate’s Gomtinagar Circle, the youth who shot has been identified as Dhananjay Singh. Dhananjay is the son of retired inspector Ram Sahodar, who lives in Vipulkhand and works in property. Several cases have been registered against Dhananjay at Gomtinagar police station and he is also wanted from the court. According to the police, Dhananjay was talking to his friend Rahul in a car outside his house at 10 pm on Wednesday. Meanwhile, four-five armed men reached there and beat and shot Dhananjay.

Shot in the right leg

The miscreants fired at Dhananjay, aiming for his chest, but Dhananjay turned backwards, so that the bullet hit him in his right leg. Seeing the firing, his friend Rahul screamed and ran away, but the miscreants chased him too and hit him on the head with the butt of a pistol. Meanwhile, due to the noise, many people from around reached the spot. Seeing them, the miscreants fled from there. The family informed the police about the incident and took Dhananjay Singh to the hospital. where he is undergoing treatment.

During police interrogation, Dhananjay Singh accused a miscreant named Sinku of the attack. According to ACP, no complaint has been received yet. A case will be registered as soon as the complaint is received. However, the police is investigating the matter at its level. Along with watching the footage of the CCTV camera installed at the scene of the incident, the police are also checking the call details of Dhananjay’s mobile phone. According to the ACP, investigations so far have revealed that Dhananjay was doing property work on contract. According to the inputs received so far, he had a rift with Sinku due to these two works and this led to the incident.
