Lucknow angers Delhi, disappears from UP budget…Akhilesh Yadav taunts

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the first budget of the Modi government’s third term in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. The budget is being discussed in the Parliament from today i.e. from Wednesday. Opposition MPs staged a demonstration before Parliament proceedings began. Meanwhile, SP president Akhilesh Yadav said that Lucknow has angered Delhi. Uttar Pradesh is missing from the budget.

Many senior leaders including former Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi participated in the protest. Speaking to reporters during the protest, Akhilesh Yadav said, “We were demanding that all farmers should get MSP, but instead of farmers, support prices are being given to coalition partners who are saving their government.”

What else did Akhilesh Yadav say?

Akhilesh Yadav further said that the government could not take any concrete steps regarding inflation. Uttar Pradesh got nothing. UP should get double benefit of double engine government. I think the people of Lucknow have angered the people of Delhi. What is the benefit of double engine government?
