The body of the girl was found hanging in a room of the house. The girl got married a year ago and based on her father’s complaint, the police registered a case against four people including her husband and mother-in-law. The police have sent the girl’s body for postmortem.
Dharmendra’s 22-year-old daughter Anchal, who lives in Sihapar village of Sahjanwa police station area, had a love marriage with Umesh, who lives in Mahupar of the same police station area, a year ago. Villagers say that both were in love since school days. The relationship between these two was also discussed in the surrounding villages. However, the families of both gave their consent for the marriage. Both got married a year ago.
The girl’s father made allegations
The girl’s father cried in front of the police. He said that the daughter was in pain. He said that everything was fine for a few days after the marriage, but after that the daughter’s in-laws became greedy. The in-laws started demanding money. He also tortured his daughter for this. When the daughter told her mother that we gave the dowry according to our capacity, but that did not satisfy the in-laws. They started harassing my daughter more in their desire for more dowry.
The father said that he went to the daughter’s in-laws and also spoke to her in-laws, but instead of agreeing, they started harassing my daughter more. Every time the daughter called her mother, she used to cry and express her grief. She used to say that even her in-laws don’t consider me human. The boy who was walking in front of me has also joined them. Has become involved in the torture of the in-laws. I don’t listen to what I say. I don’t feel like living in such a state. He ended his life sometime last night when his patience ran out.
According to the girl’s father, in the morning I received information from a villager that his daughter is no more in this world. When I reached his in-laws, the people there were busy preparing for his daughter’s funeral. They themselves did not inform me about this incident. The police also arrived on the instructions of the villagers. After going there, it was learned that the daughter had cooked food for everyone at night. Didn’t eat anything myself. At night, he committed suicide by hanging himself from the fan duct.

In this regard, SP Uttar Jitendra Srivastav said that based on the complaint of the deceased’s father, a case has been registered against husband Umesh, mother-in-law Sumanta Devi, brother-in-law Rajan and Raj. The husband and mother-in-law have been arrested in this case. The body has been sent for postmortem. After the report, further action will be taken based on the evidence and facts.
