Kidnapping accused in police custody

There has been a shocking revelation about the kidnapping of a B.Tech student in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. This student, who was kidnapped a week ago from Solan in Himachal Pradesh, has been released by the police. Police have arrested 5 miscreants. During this time, it is revealed that the mastermind behind the incident is a software engineer himself and is originally from Digg, Bharatpur. According to Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph, main accused Virendra’s maternal house is in Dig Bharatpur.

Earlier he used to live here, however some time ago he moved to Solan in Himachal Pradesh and stayed at his girlfriend Jamuna’s house. He said that on the evening of August 18, he along with his girlfriend Jamuna and three other friends Jitendra Bhandari resident of Alwar, Vinod resident of Dig Bharatpur and Amit Kumar had come for a walk in Nahargarh hills. Meanwhile, 21-year-old Anuj, who lives in Pratap Nagar, also came here with one of his friends. Seeing that, the accused got an idea to earn a huge amount at once.

After this, the accused made Anuj and his colleague drink several drugs and took Anuj in the car. According to the police, the accused repeatedly called Anuj’s family members from his phone, changed the location and demanded a ransom of Rs 20 lakh. Because Anuj’s father was supporting the family by driving an auto. When his son Anuj was studying B.Tech, he was able to meet his expenses with great difficulty.

Under such circumstances, he reported the matter to the police. After this, the police launched Operation Checkmate to nab the accused. According to Police Commissioner Bju George Joseph, the accused were calling their family members from the city they were passing through. Due to this, its location changed frequently. In such situation the police also tried to track him in their own way and finally arrested him from Dharampur in Himachal Pradesh.

Thus the arrest was made

According to the police, the accused called Anuj’s mother on the phone and asked her to reach Chandigarh station with the ransom money. During this time the police put the phones of Anuj and his mother on diversion. Here, as soon as his mother reached Chandigarh station, the accused asked her to sit in the last compartment of the train bound for Shimla. As soon as the train reached Dharampur, the accused asked to throw away the bag full of money. Meanwhile, Anuj’s mother kept talking to the accused continuously for 4 minutes. This conversation helped the police to trace the location of the accused and they were nabbed.

Anuj was chained to a buffalo

After arresting the accused, when the police came to free Anuj, he was sleeping in a room. His hands and feet were chained to the buffalo. Anuj said that he even tried to run away once. For this he set the room on fire. But the accused beat him badly and threatened to kill him if he did it again.
