What was found in the raid at Manorama Devi’s house?

The NIA raid at former JDU MLC Manorama Devi’s house in Bihar started at 6 am yesterday and lasted for almost 20 hours. Meanwhile, the NIA team conducted a thorough search of the house. After the search, the NIA issued a press release, which said that Rs 4 crore 3 lakh was recovered from the house. Along with this, information has also been given that weapons have been found here. Many objectionable documents and digital documents have also been recovered from here. The NIA said that in August 2023, two Naxalites were arrested from Aurangabad district.

Based on the input received from them, 6 people were arrested at that time. The investigation was ongoing since then. The houses of three farmers in Manorama Devi’s village were also raided. However, no one has been arrested in this case. Former MLC Manorama Devi appeared before the media after the raid was over. He told the media that suddenly at 6:00 am the NIA team officials reached there and started searching. We gave him full cooperation.

What did Manorama Devi say?

He said the money seized during the raid was taken as a loan from the bank. Our chartered account will give its complete details. Regarding the weapons, he said that these weapons belong to our guards. We also have its documents. According to the information, the NIA has raided the former MLC’s residence in connection with supplying illegal arms, cartridges and resources to the Naxalites. There is also another hideout linked to him in Gaya, which has been raided.

He has an old nexus with the Naxalites

Apart from this, the NIA also raided the office of Simran Travels and its owner’s house in Goitha village of Bankbazar, Guyana. Its owner is Dwarka Yadav. A large number of documents were examined here. Pen drives, laptops, computers, mobiles and other items have been seized. Dwarka Yadav is also said to have an old nexus with the Naxalites. Their vehicles were also used by Naxalites several times. Apart from this, his role is also said to be important in providing financial help to the Naxalites.

Former MLC Manorama Devi is the wife of late Bindi Yadav. His son Rocky Yadav was the main accused in Guyana’s much talked about road range case. A few years ago, Rocky shot a young man for not giving way on the road. Due to which he died. He was in jail for a long time in this case. Later the High Court acquitted him in the case and acquitted him honorably. Currently he is handling his father’s contracting business. His father’s name was also linked in the case of supplying arms and cartridges to Naxalites.
