Heavy rains have started in Delhi NCR
Heavy rains lashed many places in Delhi NCR on Wednesday morning. Heavy rain started in Ghaziabad and East Delhi from 4 am. However, there has been light rain at some places in Noida. Similarly, apart from Gurugram and Faridabad, rest of Delhi also received light rain and drizzle at many places. Similarly, besides Saurashtra and Kutch in Gujarat, Mandla in Madhya Pradesh and Pune in Maharashtra have received heavy rain. While many parts of Goa, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh and Himachal Pradesh received light rain.
Seeing the rapid change in the weather, the Indian Meteorological Department on Tuesday issued an alert for heavy rains in many states of the country including Delhi NCR. In fact, there was bright sunshine in Delhi NCR on Tuesday. However, it was very humid on Tuesday evening. Similarly, dark clouds covered the sky from ten o’clock at night. The night passed in heat and humidity, but at four o’clock in the morning it began to drizzle.
The Meteorological Department has issued a rain warning
Apart from Ghaziabad, East Delhi’s Shahdara and Anand Vihar areas have received good rainfall for the first time this monsoon season, according to the Meteorological Department. The effect of this rain was also seen in Noida to some extent. Many areas of Noida received light rain. However, most parts of the banks of the Yamuna remained dry. Similarly, areas from Mayur Vihar to Akshardham in East Delhi have received rain. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, a heavy rain warning was issued in 8 states on Tuesday, particularly in Gujarat’s Saurashtra and Kutch, Madhya Pradesh’s Mandla and Maharashtra’s Pune.

All these areas have been receiving rain since late Tuesday night. At the same time, light and heavy rains are continuing at few places over the rest of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is reported in large parts of Goa, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh and Himachal Pradesh today. All these states have been receiving heavy rains for the last 24 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, rainy conditions will continue in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh till July 26 i.e. Friday.
