Major negligence in Delhi IAS coaching center
The Delhi IAS coaching center disaster has exposed negligence. In fact, illegal coaching centers were running in the basement of the building where the tragedy took place, although this was not allowed. A library was running without permission in the basement, which is not legal. The basement where the incident took place was used for storage but a library was built here. Children used to study here.
As per Fire NOC permission was given to construct basement as storage. The other was to be used as a parking lot. When a library was built in the basement. It clearly means that the rules were violated by building the library. However, Delhi Police has arrested the owner and coordinator of the coaching center in this case. A case has been registered under section 105,106(1),152,290 and 35 of BNS. The management of the coaching center and the people of the civic agency are also being investigated.
On the old Rajendra Nagar coaching incident, Delhi Mayor Shaili Oberoi said, “A very tragic incident happened yesterday.” As soon as I got the information about the incident, I immediately reached the spot. The NDRF team was doing rescue work there. Unfortunately, three children died in this incident. I have written to MCD Commissioner. In this I said that strict action should be taken against the institutions falling under the jurisdiction of MCD and the coaching centers running illegally in basements.
He said that if MCD officials are involved in this matter then strict action should be taken against them also. If such coaching centers are running illegally then action will be taken against them and also the official. Shaili further said that the completion certificate of the building was received in 2021. It is also clearly written that the basement can only be for parking and storage. It means the library was running illegally in the basement. Politics has also heated up over the Delhi coaching accident. A series of accusations and rebuttals has started between Aam Aadmi Party and BJP. Both are attacking each other.
