Saxena said that he was deeply saddened by the death of civil services aspirants. In a post on social media platform X, he said it was extremely unfortunate and unacceptable that this happened in the Indian capital. The LG said it is important to look into the role of coaching institutes in not ensuring the basic security of students who pay huge fees and rent away from their homes. He said that such issues cannot be ignored. Let us tell you that the Lieutenant Governor has asked the Divisional Commissioner to submit a report on all aspects of the tragic incident by Tuesday.

The Lt. Governor said seven more citizens have lost their lives due to lightning strikes in the past few days. My condolences to the families of those who lost their lives. Saxena said that they are keeping a close eye on the situation. He said these incidents clearly show criminal negligence and failure in basic maintenance and management by the concerned departments.
