Politics has heated up over the water crisis in Delhi, where on one hand the BJP is holding protests against the Delhi government at 14 places today, while on the other hand the Aam Aadmi Party is alleging that there is a conspiracy to cut pipelines in Delhi. Delhi Water Minister Atishi has written to the Delhi Police Commissioner alleging that a conspiracy is being hatched to spoil Delhi’s water system. In fact, water crisis is becoming acute in many areas of Delhi. Water is being supplied by tankers to quench the thirst of Delhiites, but people are not getting enough water, leading to fighting.

Delhi Minister Atishi said, ‘Yesterday, a patrolling team of the Delhi Jal Board found a major leakage near the Garhi Mendu transformer in the South Delhi Rising Main Pipeline. On investigation it was found that 5 375 mm bolts and one 12 inch bolt had been cut by someone. It seems that there is a conspiracy to increase the water problem in Delhi.

25 percent less water reached South Delhi

He said, ‘Delhi Jal Board took 6 hours to repair this water pipeline. Repairs were carried out from 4 pm to 10 pm. Meanwhile, water supply to South Delhi had to be stopped. The result is that about 25 percent less water has reached South Delhi today. Who are these people who are conspiring to ruin Delhi’s water system?
