One person has died after being buried in a landslide in Uttarakhand’s Sonprayag. Two injured have been sent to Sonprayag for treatment. Since last July 31, landslide incidents have been observed in Sonprayag area from time to time. Expressing grief over the whole matter, CM Dhami has expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased.
A landslide incident has come to light between Sonprayag and Munkatiya. A passenger has died due to being buried in this landslide. Also, two passengers have received serious injuries. Who have been sent to Sonprayag for treatment. SDRF and NDRF Sector Magistrate Sonprayag immediately reached the spot for rescue as soon as the information about the landslide incident was received. Where after hours of relief work, the rescue team took out the dead body of one person and two others who were injured.
The police reported the landslide
District Disaster Management Officer Nandan Singh Rajwar said that at around 7.20 pm on September 9, the Sonprayag police station received information that some passengers were buried under the debris due to a landslide between Sonprayag and Munkatiya. SDRF and NDRF Sector Magistrates were sent to the spot for rescue as soon as the incident was reported. After reaching there, he started the rescue work.

The rescue team pulled out three people from the debris, in which one person died while two were seriously injured. The injured have been sent by ambulance to Sonprayag for treatment. Rescue work is still going on. Expressing grief over this incident, CM Pushkar Dhami has said that we have lost a precious life in a tragic accident. My condolences are with the bereaved family. All possible help is being provided by the government to carry out the rescue work.
