How did the temple get its name?
Maharana Pratap was unaware of this. It is said that by chance the cock crowed in the middle of the night, due to which Maharana Pratap woke up. He secured himself, since then the temple came to be known as Kukadeswara Mahadev. Sarpanch Mohan Patel said that a canal flows next to the temple. Its specialty is that no matter how hot it is, the water of this canal never dries up.
Devotees associate it with the daily abhishek of Bhole. There is also a pond near this temple. It also never dries up. In the month of Sawan, devotees perform Jalabhisheka of Kukdeswara Mahadev with this holy water.
