Which railway is Maharashtra, but where Maharashtra is not visible? Such a vaccine is always given. Because Chakarmanyachya Vatlya came to his village in Mozkyat trains from Koknat. From the Konkan Railway, the Vel Wachavinara route was available to reach the railway south. Therefore, more trains are run on the southern side of the route. And though the Konkani sevaks have given their land worth millions for the Conan Railway, they are not getting the benefit of the Conan Railway. Since the route of Konkan Railway is single, there is pride in running trains here. So, the proposal to double Yamarg would be a big deal. But due to the natural limitations of the route, the Konkan Railway Corporation has decided to do ‘Patch Doubling’. What is patch doubling?
Konkan Railway route between Roha and Thokur is 738 km and has 68 stops and 4 halt stations. The route goes up to the Dongar Darya and is carved through the Sahyadri mountain range. There are 91 bogs and mines on the road. The largest tunnel is located in Ratnagiri. This yacht is about one and a half kilometers long. There are 179 major bridges and 879 minor bridges have been constructed. Or the path is completely monotonous. So, there are many restrictions on train passengers here. Many times, the Chakarmanya train goes to the Sidingla loop liner to give a wake-up call to the superfast train. If the road is double then such problems will not arise. The train capacity will almost double. But this will cost a lot of money. Therefore, Konkan Railway has double-track railway routes wherever possible. A total of Rs. 1,287 crore by spending Rs. Annual fuel savings of over 150 crores are achieved.
The 350 km patch will be doubled
Konkan Railway Currently 52 express and 18 goods trains are running. 50 km between Roha and Veer or Sthankan is being dualised. Where there is plain territory, bifurcation is possible. Mining other bogs is not technically impossible for both Dongrat routes. But this involves huge expenses. Margala in flat area is 15 to 20 crore per km and Dongral area is 80 to 100 crore per km. The Navy will cost the same as the construction of the Konkan Railway. So it has been decided to double track the patch on the Konkan Railway route. Konkan Railway Corporation Chairman and Managing Director Santosh Kumar Jha told TV9 Marathi Correspondent that there are plans to double track the total 350 km route and funds are required from the Railway Board.
