After the Kolkata rape-murder case, Sandeep Ghosh, former principal of RG Kar Medical Call and Hospital, has been arrested by the CBI in a corruption case. Now the Enforcement Directorate is also investigating the matter. Sandeep Ghosh’s bungalow was found at Kenning in South 24 Parganas district of the state during ED raids on Friday. The ED raided the bungalow along with detained Prasun Chatterjee. This bungalow has been built at a cost of crores.
A green two-storied bungalow has been constructed amidst thousands of bighas of vacant land in Narayanpur Mauza of Khutiari Sharif of Canning-2 Block.
‘Sangeetsandeep Villa’ is written on the bungalow. The bungalow is surrounded by a long boundary wall. Some locals claim that this bungalow belongs to Sandeep Ghosh. They also see ‘Doctor Babu’ coming to the bungalow along with other family members.

Sandeep Ghosh’s wife’s name is Sangeeta Ghosh. According to locals, Sandeep Ghosh named the bungalow after his wife and himself. Hundreds of bighas of land are situated in the bungalow and surrounding area. According to local sources, a private company is selling the land by dividing it into several plots.
The company itself built a bungalow on two bigha land, which was later bought by Sandeep Ghosh. Some local youths have built a farm house on a few bigha of land next to the bungalow.
CBI has arrested Sandeep Ghosh
The CBI arrested Sandeep Ghosh last Monday in the RG Car Hospital corruption case. A special court in Alipore ordered Sandeep to be sent to CBI custody for eight days. The ED launched a search operation on Friday morning by raiding Sandeep Ghosh’s house in Beleghata. It is believed that this Central Investigation Agency is going to investigate the financial corruption case this time as well.
After the rape and murder of a woman doctor at RG Kar Medical College on August 9, questions have started to arise in various circles about the role of the then Principal Sandeep Ghosh. After taking charge of the investigation, the CBI made several inquiries. Former Deputy Superintendent of RG Tax Akhtar Ali accused Sandeep of corruption in several hospital cases. After which the High Court ordered a CBI investigation and later an ED investigation in this matter.
