Unclaimed bag found at doctors’ protest site in Kolkata.

A suspicious bag was found at the protest site near RG Car Hospital in Kolkata on Wednesday and a bomb disposal squad has reached the spot to check whether the bag contains explosives. Black bags were seen at the site where doctors were protesting demanding justice for their dead trainee doctor, who was raped and murdered in the hospital.

Police have cordoned off the area and are conducting further investigation. The protest entered its 34th day on Thursday and the deadlock over negotiations between the doctors and the state government continues.

On Wednesday, the state government proposed a dialogue with the protesting doctors, but the standoff between the state government and the doctors did not end. Doctors spoke about the live camera talk and the participation of 30 delegations.

The protesting doctors were invited to speak

Meanwhile, State Secretariat Nabanna has called the protesting doctors in front of Arogya Bhavan for another meeting on Thursday at 5 pm. He was told that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will attend this meeting. But it will not be telecast live. The meeting will be recorded.

That is, among the conditions given by the agitators, the main two conditions are not being followed. Naban’s letter also cited the Supreme Court order.

State Chief Secretary Manoj Pant wrote a letter to the protesters on Thursday. In the letter, he wrote, “The government is ready to meet with you for the proper management of the health system of the state.” But the instructions given by the Supreme Court in this regard should also be kept in mind. As you know, the Chief Minister has been waiting in Nabanna for the last two days to meet your representatives. We want to talk.

The Supreme Court talked about abolishing doctors

The Supreme Court heard this case on Monday. The Supreme Court ordered the doctors to return to work by 5 pm on Tuesday. But even after this he did not return to work. Instead, the agitators called for the Swasthya Bhawan Abhiyan that day.

The condition of the agitators was that the meeting with the Chief Minister should be telecast live. He wanted to attend the Naban meeting with 30 delegates. But on Thursday, the Chief Secretary said in a letter that both these conditions are not being met.

Junior doctors have also held a meeting regarding Nabanna’s letter. “We will all discuss and take further decision,” said Aniket Mahato.
