The incident of rape and murder of a junior doctor at RG Kar Medical College has sparked outrage across the country. Hundreds of people started vandalizing the hospital and even beat up the doctors. Meanwhile, the doctors and students present inside the hospital kept pleading for help.
On Wednesday, August 14, people protested against the brutality meted out to a junior doctor at RG Kar Hospital in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. In some places, women took out a candle march, while in some places, women took to the streets with torches. Slogans demanding justice were raised across the city. Meanwhile, the crowd that had gathered for the demonstration became unruly and broke the barricade and entered the hospital. People had bamboos, bricks and stones in their hands and were vandalizing everywhere.

We are under attack, please save us
A message said that all the lights in the hostel have been switched off, the women faculty of the college are present in the hostel itself, which is quite dangerous.
