Atishi took oath as the new Chief Minister of Delhi on September 21. Gopal Rai, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Kailash Gehlot, Imran Hussain and Mukesh Ahlawat were also sworn in as ministers among the ministers who joined him in the cabinet on this occasion. As for Saurabh Bharadwaj, he is considered to be very close to former Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal. When Kejriwal went to jail, he supported the party every step of the way.
Saurabh Bhardwaj is a resident of Delhi. He was born on 12 December 1979. All his education was done in Delhi. He earned a degree in computer engineering. Before entering politics, he worked as a software consultant. He met Arvind Kejriwal during the Jan Lokpal agitation in Delhi. This is where his reputation began which continues to this day. He started his political journey with Kejriwal.
First contested assembly elections in 2013
Saurabh Bharadwaj first contested the elections from VIP seats like Greater Kailash on Aam Aadmi Party ticket in the year 2013. In the first attempt, he defeated BJP leader Vijay Kumar Malhotra’s son. He was made a cabinet minister when the Aam Aadmi Party government was formed in Delhi for 49 days. He had major departments like Transport, Food and Supplies, Environment and GAD. Saurabh Bhardwaj, representing the Greater Kailash assembly constituency, was elected as an MLA from here for three consecutive terms. People here elected once again in 2015 and again in 2020. Each time he won by a huge margin.

Saurabh Bhardwaj is considered as the best spokesperson of Aam Aadmi Party. He was attacking BJP and Congress on many issues. Saurabh is considered Kejriwal’s confidant
MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj is considered a confidant of CM Kejriwal. He also has experience of working in the cabinet. The party made him the Delhi Health Minister after former Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia went to jail. When Arvind Kejriwal went to jail in the liquor policy case, Saurabh Bhardwaj and Atishi together took over the leadership of the party along with the government.
