Kejriwal’s position in the assembly changed, Chief Minister Atishi will now sit on seat number 1

Arvind Kejriwal’s seat in the Assembly has changed after resigning as the Chief Minister of Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal’s seat number has changed from 1 to 41. Now Chief Minister Atishi will sit on seat number 1 and Saurabh Bhardwaj will sit next to him on seat number 2. While former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s seat number will be 40.

Arvind Kejriwal resigned as Chief Minister on 17 September and Atishi took oath as Chief Minister on 21 September. The session of Delhi Legislative Assembly has started from today i.e. from Thursday. The Speaker of Delhi Assembly along with Leader of Opposition Vijendra Gupta congratulated the new Chief Minister Atishi and his cabinet. The Speaker of the Delhi Assembly informed that he has resigned due to the election of former Leader of Opposition Rambir Singh Bidhuri as an MP in the House. While former AAP MLAs Rajendra Pal Gautam, Raj Kumar Anand and Kartar Singh Tanwar were disqualified from the House.

According to the Speaker, the Election Commission has been informed about the vacant seats. There was an uproar shortly after the proceedings began. The BJP MLAs including the leader of the opposition raised slogans on the issue of not presenting the CAG report. Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party MLA Kuldeep Kumar raised the issue of giving jobs to bus marshals in the House and raised slogans. After the uproar, the proceedings of the House had to be adjourned for some time.
