Aam Aadmi Party coordinator Arvind Kejriwal has resigned from the post of Chief Minister on Tuesday, September 17. He submitted his resignation to Lt. Governor VK Saxena. After Kejriwal, Atishi will become the new Chief Minister of Delhi. Soon after Kejriwal’s resignation, Aam Aadmi Party shared a video on its social media. Its caption says that Arvind Kajriwal will prove to be honest and become CM again.

Kedriwal was imprisoned in Tihar Jail for 6 months
Arvind Kejriwal, who was involved in the liquor scam, was arrested in March and has been lodged in Delhi’s Tihar Jail for the past 6 months. He was released on bail by the Supreme Court last Friday. After coming out of jail, he announced his resignation from the post of Chief Minister on Sunday. His decision shocked everyone. Kejriwal said that he will not become the Chief Minister until the public gives him a certificate of sincerity.
