Punjab’s largest party Shiromani Akali Dal may revolt after nearly 30 years. Akali Dal MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal has made a big allegation against the BJP. She said that the BJP is trying to hatch a conspiracy in Punjab as well as Maharashtra. The central government will not succeed in this intention. The entire Shiromani Akali Dal is united. They all stand with Sukhbir Badal. The BJP is trying to break the Shiromani Akali Dal.

Sign of a rift in the Akal Dal

Harsimrat Kaur said that out of 117 leaders, only 5 leaders are against Sukhbir Badal, while 112 leaders are standing with the party and Sukhbir Badal. The five who are against are all from BJP or are in touch with it.

An Akali Dal MP said that one of the five people contested the Lok Sabha elections as a BJP candidate. Another one was also made to contest by the BJP, the third one’s brother is with the BJP and the fourth one’s brother is moving towards joining the BJP. He said that all these are BJP’s rogues who are doing this. Punjab knows this very well. He said that the entire party is with Sukhbir Singh Badal.

Like Maharashtra, efforts are being made in Punjab too

Just like the two parties split in Maharashtra, similarly there is a possibility of a split in Punjab politics as well. There are signs of rebellion in the Akali Dal at this time. Because some party leaders have demanded the resignation of Sukhbir Singh Badal. Two meetings of the Akali Dal were held on Tuesday. One in Jalandhar where the rebel leaders of the Akali Dal met. Some district presidents of the other party were also present in this meeting. The second meeting was held in Chandigarh under the chairmanship of party chief Sukhbir Singh Badal. This meeting was organized to review the performance of the Akali Dal in the Lok Sabha elections.

Two separate party meetings

In a meeting held in Jalandhar, the rebel leaders announced that they would start the Shiromani Akali Dal Bachao Andolan from July 1. Big leaders like former MP Prem Singh Chandumajra, former SGPC president Bibi Jagir Kaur, former minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa, former MLA Sikander Singh Maluka and Surjit Singh Rakhra were present in this meeting.

They have demanded that party chief Sukhbir Singh Badal should show the spirit of sacrifice. In the meeting held in Chandigarh, trust was expressed in the leadership of party chief Sukhbir Singh Badal. The Akali Dal has said that all these rebel leaders are disappointed and they are sponsored by the BJP.
