Due to lack of power supply, electricity continued in the houses for 15 minutes due to which people went on a rampage. Due to the current, people could not help their neighbors even if they wanted to. 38 people were burnt in this incident. People are getting angry about the negligence of the power department.
In the border town of Gursahaiganj area, people were inside their houses during the rain. Meanwhile, in Simant Nagar area, a HT line wire suddenly snapped and fell on houses, electrocuting many houses. As soon as the electricity came to the house, there was a scream. No one understood what happened? In the same area, the wire of the HT line passing over the houses of Nanhe, Abdul Ghaffar, Haseeb, Waheed, Usman, Nausad and Mohammad Naib suddenly snapped. Due to which the people present inside the house started getting unconscious due to electric current.
Panic was caused due to breakage of HT line wire
Even bystanders could not help due to broken wires and constant current. Some people rushed to the power sub-station and stopped the power supply. But by the time people went to the power substation, it was too late. People felt a sense of relief when the Gandhinagar feeder was closed and people around helped those who were unconscious due to electrocution.
38 people were electrocuted
According to information, around 38 people including children and women were electrocuted in the incident of HT line wire breakage. Half a dozen of them were severely burnt. The electrocuted people were taken to a private hospital for treatment. When the condition of two to three became serious, they were referred to another hospital. Haseeb living in Simant Nagar has a tin shed in front of his house, when the wire broke and fell on the tin shed, his family got electrocuted. All the members of Nana Ali’s house got burnt due to electric shock.
An inquiry has been ordered
Bilhaur resident Nanhe Ali’s brother-in-law Akhtar Ali also came to his house on Wednesday morning. He was also struck by lightning. Who did not regain consciousness for a long time. In the same matter, Executive Engineer of Power Distribution Department Chibramal RK Bharti said that the power line is old. After receiving information about the incident, the SDO said that despite the dilapidated line, people have built houses under it. He said that the matter will be investigated and action will be taken.
