Kangana Ranaut ‘Emergency’ Censor Certificate
Kangana Ranaut’s film ‘Emergency’ was slated to hit the theaters on September 6, but the film got stuck at the censor board. Due to which the film could not release on its scheduled time. Now there are reports that the Censor Board has given the film a U/A certificate. However, the way for the release is not yet clear. Along with giving the certificate, the Censor Board has asked the makers to change 13 places in the film.
Once the film is modified, only then this picture will be released. However, it is being said that G-Studio has said that it needs some time to think about the cut. Now let’s find out which changes have been asked in the film.

- First of all, the Censor Board has asked to add a disclaimer at the beginning of the film, which says that the film is inspired by a true story. Whatever the event is, it is dramatized. CBFC wants this because it should be absolutely clear that whatever is being shown in the film is not entirely true.
- At the very beginning there is a scene of Jawaharlal Nehru, in which he is shown saying that China has separated Assam from India. However, the board has sought the source from where this dialogue was included in the film. Because the historians sitting on the board have no knowledge of such an event.
- The board has also objected to a dialogue of Sanjay Gandhi’s character, as it sounds like a deal is being made for votes. In fact, in that dialogue Bhindrawale tells Sanjay Gandhi – ‘Your party wants votes and we want Khalistan’.
- It is being said that there is a scene in the film in which a Sikh shoots a person who does not belong to the Sikh community. Censor board has asked to delete this scene. Also violence is happening at 2 minutes 11 minutes in the film, it is said to reduce the violence.
- In one scene, Indira Gandhi and the Army Chief are having a conversation. There is a mention of Arjuna Day. That is, the birth anniversary of Arjan, the fifth Guru of the Sikhs. The board has asked to remove the mention of ‘Arjun Day’. The board says that there is no such tradition in the Sikh community.
- The CBFC has also suggested that wherever original footage is used in a film, a static message should be given. That means there should be no movement in that message
- Whatever important things are in the film, be it any data, someone’s statement or any reference taken from somewhere, the source of all those things should be mentioned from where those things are taken.
- There are three such scenes in the film, where Bhindrawale’s character is not in the frame, but his name is being mentioned. The board has asked the makers to remove Bhindrawale’s name. As mentioned above, 13 changes have been suggested in the film. However, information on four of the 13 changes is yet to come. So far, as much information as we said has come to light.
