BJP’s victory in Amarwada seat of Chhindwara

BJP has registered a victory in the by-election held in Amarwada seat of Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh amid heavy competition. BJP has registered victory in this assembly after 16 years. BJP’s Prem Narayan Thakur won from Amarwada in the 2008 assembly elections. There were many ups and downs in the counting of votes in PG College on Saturday. BJP was leading in the first four rounds, but after this Congress candidate Dhiren Shah made a comeback and maintained the lead till the 17th round.

A total of 20 rounds of counting were done. BJP candidates were leading in the first 4 rounds of counting, while Congress candidates were leading from the 5th round to the 17th round. But in the 18th round the story changed and here the BJP got a lead of only 600 votes. After this, only the BJP candidate continued to get the lead in the remaining three rounds. And finally BJP candidate Kamlesh Shah won by 3242 votes.

Congress leaders accused the officials

Congress leader Mukesh Nayak says that the Congress candidate was ahead till 17 rounds. BJP got upset and then took lunch. And at the same time the last three rounds were played. He further said that BJP candidate who won by 25 thousand votes while in Congress has won by 3 thousand votes today. These people have given a clear message that they are only with Congress.

Congress candidate Dhiren Shah says that we had complained about irregularities in the counting of votes and demanded a recount. But election officials do not order for this.

Blame the defeat on EVMs and DMs

BJP’s Amarwada by-election in-charge Uike says Congress has lost. So now questions are being raised on DM and EVM. This is the panic of defeat. People are voting for BJP in the name of development.

Meanwhile, state Chief Minister Mohan Yadav congratulated the people of Amarwada and BJP workers for the BJP’s victory in the Amarwada assembly by-election. He said that this victory is a victory of public trust and faith in BJP’s ideology. This win shows that people are trusting BJP.
