On Saturday, Mamata Banerjee made a surprise visit to Rajya Arogya Bhavan, the site of the protest, to meet the doctors who have been on strike for 35 days. Meanwhile, Mamata once again played the emotional card. The CM told the doctors that she had not slept for 34 days. He has no greed for the post of Chief Minister. Getting a position is not a big deal but being a man is a big deal.
He spoke his mind to the doctors for about 7 minutes and asked them to end the strike with an assurance of considering all the demands. After this, the doctors were called to his home for a discussion, the doctors also went to the CM residence, but remained adamant on the issue of live streaming of the meeting. In the end this second attempt of Mamata to talk also failed.
The Chief Minister told the doctors that they are not greedy for the position. I have come here because I consider your movement to be right. I myself came out of the student movement. I have also suffered a lot during the students’ agitation. I know my condition is no big deal. Being human is a big deal.
CM said- He has not slept for 34 days
The CM told the doctors that it had rained all night yesterday (Friday). You guys were in trouble, I couldn’t sleep all night either. I have suffered too. I have a mental problem. It’s been 34 days today and I haven’t slept at night either. I have to stay awake to protect you while you are on the way.

Mamata further said that you have suffered a lot in all these rains and storms and natural calamities. Just don’t put up with it anymore. If you want to return to your work. I assure you that whatever your demand is, I will discuss it and study it. I will talk to the authorities. I am not running the government alone. Chief Secretary, Home Secretary and DGP are also with me. Will discuss with him. If someone is guilty, he will be punished for sure.

New controversy over audio clip

According to Kunal Ghosh, this audio of a conversation between two Left leaders is about an explosion at the protest site.
