Police have so far arrested 42 people in this case.

Police are appealing to people to remain calm. The dispute started over a land which took the form of communal tension. In fact, a disputed land near Idgah in Sursagar area is lying vacant. 15 years ago there was an agreement between the two communities that no construction would be done on this land and no gate would be opened on this side. It is alleged that one of the parties broke the wall of the Idgah and took out the door leading to the disputed land. Another party opposed it.

After the agreement there was violence

The matter reached the police. Both the parties had a fierce brawl in front of the police in the police station. After a lot of effort, the police succeeded in convincing both the parties. The police were oblivious to the fact that the case was being solved. Suddenly on Friday evening both sides turned violent. There was heavy stone pelting from both sides. A shop and a tractor were set on fire by the rebels. After information, the police reached the spot and tried to control the situation, but the police force was also heavily stoned. To stop the violence, first the police resorted to lathi charge, but when the miscreants did not agree, the police fired tear gas shells at the spot and brought the situation under control.

Policeman and woman injured

An officer of the police station was injured in the stone pelting incident. He was injured when a stone hit his face. In this incident, a woman named Lajwanti was seriously injured in her eye. Her family members said that she was sitting in her house. In the meantime, he came to know that his grandson was playing outside the house. Hearing the commotion, she ran out to get her grandson. As he lifted his grandson in his lap, a stone hit him in the eye. The family rushed him to the hospital. Where the doctor said that his eyesight was gone forever.

Section 144 has been enforced in 5 police station areas

The police administration is on alert after the violence in Sursagar. As a precautionary measure, Section 144 has been imposed in five police station areas to prevent communal tension from spreading to other areas of the city. Apart from Sursagar, Prohibitory Order under Section 144 of IPC has been imposed in Pratap Nagar Police Station area, Pratap Nagar Sadar Police Station, Dev Nagar Police Station and Rajiv Gandhi Police Station area.

42 miscreants arrested

Police have arrested 42 miscreants in connection with the disturbance in Sursagar area. Apart from this, five minors have been detained. The police arrested the accused and produced them in the court. The court granted bail to two councilors and ordered the others to be sent to jail. Heavy police deployment has been made in some areas, including the area of ​​Sursagar traders. At present there is peace in the place.

An agreement was reached again on Sunday

A group of women came to protest outside the Sursagar police station on Sunday evening. A large number of women gathered outside the Sursagar police station. The police calmed him down and sent him back home. Regarding the commotion, the police arranged a meeting with the responsible people of both sides. A compromise was once again reached in this meeting and thereafter the disputed gate on the wall of the Idgah was closed.
