Ahead of the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, BJP has received a big blow. Samba district president Kashmira Singh has resigned from the party. He resigned from BJP after not getting ticket. Along with his resignation, Kashmira has opposed the ticket of Surjit Singh Slathia as the party had given the ticket to Surjit Singh Slathia who came from the National Conference.

In his resignation letter sent to state president Ravinder Raina, Kashmira wrote that he had served the party for 40 years. The journey that started with a polling booth agent reached here (BJP Samba became president). During this period, I got many other responsibilities, which I tried to perform well, but my years of service did not avail. Instead of giving tickets to me, the party gave them tickets, which I always opposed.

Many BJP leaders are upset about not getting tickets

Many BJP leaders are upset over not getting tickets in Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier, Advocate Chandramohan Sharma had resigned from BJP. He announced to contest the election as a candidate of Azad Party. After the resignation, Sharma said that he has been associated with the BJP for a long time and has also been in the Jan Sangh and has gone to jail.

He said that the tickets given by BJP to the people were not given with consideration. He alleged that the Jammu and Kashmir BJP unit did not send the list of genuine candidates to Delhi. He said that now he will contest as an independent candidate.

Internal strife in Jammu and Kashmir BJP

According to sources, JP Nadda himself has come forward to resolve internal rifts in the Jammu and Kashmir BJP. He spoke to Jammu and Kashmir in-charge Ram Madhav, G Kishan Reddy and senior BJP leaders of Jammu and Kashmir. Nadda also spoke to Tarun Chugh, Ravinder Raina and the organization’s general secretary Ashok Kaul about internal wrangling and protests over ticket allocation at the party headquarters and elsewhere.
