Jio surprised and increased the mobile rate by up to 25 percent

Reliance Jio, the telecom company with the largest user base in the country, has caused a huge shock to its prepaid users. Jio has been the first to do what has long been suspected that the mobile tariff could increase soon. The company has increased its rate plan by up to 25 percent. It is expected that soon Airtel and Vodafone will also make the idea a reality. We also tell you how much Jio has increased in each of its plans.

Increase up to 25 percent

Telecom company Reliance Jio has increased its prepaid plans by 12.5 to 25 percent. The new rates will come into effect from July 3. The special thing is that the new rates will not apply to existing users. Reliance Jio has announced that there has been no increase in tariffs for Jio Bharat and Jio Phone users. Reliance Jio has increased the prices of its 19 plans, of which 17 are prepaid and 2 are post plans. The special thing is that for the first time Jio increased its tariff before Airtel.

This is how the plan was increased

  1. Under Reliance Jio’s new tariff plan, the base tariff which was earlier Rs 155 has now been increased to Rs 189. This means that it has increased by 22 percent. The monthly fee price of Rs 399 has been increased to Rs 449.
  2. If we talk about the two-month plan, then the Rs 479 plan has been increased to Rs 579. On the other hand, the Rs 533 plan has been increased to Rs 629.
  3. Previously, the 3-month plan ranged between Rs 395 and Rs 999. Which has been increased from Rs 479 to Rs 1199.
  4. The Rs 1,559 annual plan will now be available for Rs 1,899. The Rs 2,999 annual plan has been priced at Rs 3,599.
  5. Talking about additional data on the plan, which previously ranged between Rs 15 and Rs 61, has been increased from Rs 19 to Rs 69.

Increase in postpaid plans too

Jio has increased two postpaid plans. The postpaid Rs 299 has been increased to Rs 349. In which there is 30 GB of data available for free. On the other hand, the Rs 399 postpaid plan has been increased to Rs 449. 75 GB of monthly data is available on this plan.

Airtel and Vodafone Idea are expected to be next. This is the first time that Jio has increased the tariff before Airtel. After the growth of Jio, growth can also be seen in Airtel. Subsequently, an increase can also be seen in Vodafone Idea. Recently, telecom companies participated in the bidding for the 5G spectrum. After which the news came that telecom companies can increase the tariff by 20 to 25 percent.

Shares of companies rise to a record level

Although Airtel is yet to announce the tariff hike, the company’s shares have hit a record high in the stock market. According to the data, during the trading session, Airtel stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 1,489. After the market close, the company’s shares appeared at Rs 1,471.80 with an increase of Rs 13.25.

Furthermore, Vodafone Idea’s share is continuously increasing. According to BSE data, it closed at Rs 18.52 with an increase of 2.77 per cent. However, during the trading session, the company’s stock also hit a new 52-week high of Rs 18.70. There was a good rise in Reliance Industries shares.
