Former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren is coming out of jail

Could Hemant Soren’s release from jail before the assembly elections prove to be detrimental to the BJP… In the election year, many such questions are starting to arise in the political corridors of Jharkhand. The reason is that former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren came out of jail on regular bail.

The Jharkhand High Court on Friday granted regular bail to Hemant Soren in the money laundering case, after which he was released from jail. Hemant Soren is the former chief minister of the state and the head of JMM, the ruling party of Jharkhand. He was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on January 31 this year in a money laundering case related to the land scam.

This year Jharkhand will hold assembly elections for 81 seats, where the JMM alliance is competing with the BJP. In such a situation, what will be the impact on Jharkhand politics and JMM after Hemant comes out of jail, let us understand through 5 points of this story…

1. Will Hemant Soren become Chief Minister again?

Before his arrest on January 31, Hemant Soren had become the Chief Minister of Jharkhand. After his arrest, he made powerful JMM leader Champai Soren the Chief Minister. Champai Soren has been the Chief Minister since then. Now Hemant Soren has got bail from the High Court in the money laundering case. In such a situation, the question is whether Hemant will take over the post of CM again?

Senior journalist from Jharkhand Vijaydev Jha According to Hemant, he has just come out on bail and assembly elections are near. Therefore, the chances of him replacing Champai and himself becoming the Chief Minister are slim at present.

After coming out of jail, when reporters asked Hemant about future strategy, he said, “If you tell people everything, where will the strategy be?”

2. What could be Hemant’s new role?

Hemant Soren is currently the working president of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. This post is second only to his father Shibu Soren. It is being discussed that Hemant will remain on the same post till the assembly elections in Jharkhand. As the assembly elections are around the corner, it is being said that Hemant may soon go on a state tour after coming out of jail.

In 2019 too, Hemant toured the entire state before the assembly elections. It also benefited the party. JMM and Congress alliance won 47 out of 81 seats.

3. What will be Kalpana Soren’s role?

After Hemant Soren went to jail, the responsibility of campaigning for the party fell on the shoulders of Kalpana Soren. He entered active politics in March. Kalpana addressed more than 50 small and large meetings throughout the Lok Sabha elections. JMM also gained in the polls and the party’s seats increased from 1 to 3.

Kalpana is currently MLA from Gandeya assembly seat in Giridih. Now that Hemant Soren is out of jail, the debate has gained momentum that what will be the role of Kalpana in the future?

According to JMM sources, Kalpana’s role in the party will remain the same as before as a campaigner. However, he will now focus more on his assembly seats in and around Gande. This time in the Lok Sabha elections, the Indian alliance suffered a major blow in Giridih and Koderma around Gande.

4. How will JMM benefit from Hemant’s exit?

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha may get 3 immediate benefits after Hemant Soren’s release from jail-

, Hemant Soren is the face of JMM. The responsibility of ticket distribution and the functioning of the organization also rests on his shoulders. JMM is contesting elections in Jharkhand with an alliance. In such a situation, his departure will improve harmony within and outside the grand coalition. Jharkhand Congress in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir has also written a post about this.

, In Jharkhand, JMM in the name of Hemant Soren has received huge sympathy votes in this election. Due to these votes, the India Alliance won the elections in all 5 tribal reservation seats. Hemant has just got bail from the High Court. Hemant will benefit from this in the assembly elections as well. 28 seats are reserved for tribals in the state.

5. Will Hemant’s arrival hurt BJP?

India Alliance has won 5 seats in the recent Lok Sabha elections. The alliance has wrested Khunti, Lohardaga and Dumka seats from the BJP this time. This incident took place when Hemant Soren was in jail. Soren is now out of jail. In such a situation, the question is whether the BJP will still suffer and if yes, how much?

According to senior journalist K Vijaydev Jha, Hemant Soren has created an equation of Muslims, tribals and Yadavs after going to jail. On the other hand BJP could not find any leader to take on Hemant Soren.

Jha further says- Kurmi in Jharkhand has been with BJP for a long time, but now they are also leaving. If the party does not put everything in order before the elections, it will suffer.
