Kishoriji’s mahabhishe took place in Barsana.
The Radha Ashtami festival was celebrated in a grand and divine manner to mark the birth anniversary of Kishori ji on Wednesday at the Radha Rani Temple in Barsana, Uttar Pradesh. A huge crowd of devotees was seen on this occasion. On this occasion, Kishoriji was decorated with jewelery worth more than 50 lakh rupees. A grand Abhisheka was done with 11 quintals of Panchamrut. Radha Rani’s Nagri Barsana was beautifully decorated on this divine occasion. Street lighting was done especially in Kishoriji’s temple and darshan was made easier by cutting berries for the convenience of devotees.
According to the temple management, Shanti Patha was started in the sanctum sanctorum of Kishoriji’s temple from 3 am on the occasion of Prakatotsav. In which the roots of Radha Rani were appeased and after about an hour long puja, Radha Rani was brought from the sanctum sanctorum to Jagmohan. Here he was anointed with Panchamrita. Since Radha Rani was born in Mula Nakshatra. So for their original peace water was brought from 27 wells and worship was done for about an hour. During this time, the secrets of 27 places, leaves of 27 trees and 108 herbs were also anointed.
Kishoriji was divinely anointed
11 matlas of milk, curd, honey and ghee etc. were also included in Radha Rani’s Abhishek. Eleven holes were made in all these vessels, through which the Maha Abhishek was completed by pouring a continuous stream on the idol of Radha Rani. Millions of people from home and abroad reached Kishoriji’s court to witness this pooja and Mahaabhishek. After the Abhishek, the temple doors were closed for about half an hour by the temple management.

In the meantime Kishoriji’s divine makeup was done. In this he wore new clothes. The dress was made from cotton and silk after about a month of continuous labor by artisans from Farrukhabad and Mathura. After the dress, Kishori ji was adorned with gold, silver and diamond jewelery worth over Rs 50 lakh. Beautiful pylons were decorated at 21 places in Barsana on this divine occasion.
