Junior Engineer of Electricity Department in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh has done a wonderful job. He cut off the power to the entire colony by opening the fuse of the power transformer. People were disturbed due to lack of electricity for three days. When the junior engineer was asked for power supply, he was asked Rs 500 per connection. When the cabinet minister reached the village, people complained about this. The minister ordered the superintending engineer to investigate and take action. JE has been suspended after being found guilty.

The case pertains to the colony of priest Nakti Mishrauli in Mirzapur district. Here, junior engineer Lavkush Yadav, posted at Padri Power Sub-station, opened the fuse of the transformer, cutting off the power supply to the entire colony. People were disturbed because there was no electricity for three days. Meanwhile, Apna Dal leader and Cabinet Minister of Uttar Pradesh Government Ashish Patel reached the village to review the preparations for the prospective Chief Minister’s arrival. The villagers complained to the cabinet minister about the disruption of power supply. The angry cabinet minister spoke to the superintending engineer of the Mirzapur Electricity Distribution Board over the phone and directed action against the junior engineer. After being found guilty, Superintending Engineer Ramdas suspended Junior Engineer Lavkush Yadav.

Complaint to Cabinet Minister

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is likely to visit on September 23. For which the district administration in Gopalpur village of Majwa Assembly is busy with preparations. When Ashish Patel, cabinet minister of the Uttar Pradesh government, arrived in Gopalpur village on September 20 to inspect the preparations ahead of the Chief Minister’s arrival, villagers inspecting the site told him about the electricity problem. He said that the junior engineer had cut off the lights in his village for the last three days. The fuse was also removed from the transformer, leaving the entire colony without electricity.

There was no electricity for three days

Villagers are forced to live in darkness for three days. 500 per person is being demanded in the name of providing connection. Those whose bills are pending are also being harassed. Based on the complaints of the villagers, Cabinet Minister Ashish Patel directed Ramdas, the competent officer of the Mirzapur Power Distribution Board, to take action. Junior Engineer Lavkush Yadav has been suspended and transferred to the office of Executive Engineer Power Distribution Division I, Mirzapur, after being found guilty of disrupting power supply to the entire colony.

Cabinet Minister Ashish Patel said that the government has a clear instruction that power supply should be cut off only to major defaulters. But here the junior engineer has disrupted the power supply of the entire colony. The villagers alleged that the fuse of the transformer has also been removed and a charge is being made in the name of connection. They were instructed to take strict action against them.
