Rashid Engineer, MP from Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir, who was imprisoned in Delhi’s Tihar Jail on charges of terror funding, attacked the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi as soon as he was released. Rashid said that he will fight for justice together with the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said I know truth will prevail and I will get justice. On the assembly election of Jammu and Kashmir, he said that this election is very important.
Talking to reporters after being released from bail, he said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir will now unite and fight for justice. He called the Prime Minister’s New Kashmir slogan a failure.

On the bumper voting in the Lok Sabha elections in Jammu and Kashmir, he said that the people of Kashmir voted against the Article 370 decision, not because of their love for Modi. This was to tell the Prime Minister what the people of Kashmir wanted.
