A continuous campaign is being conducted to eliminate terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. On the one hand, an encounter is going on between security forces and terrorists in Bilwar area of Kathua. Encounters have also started in Thanamandi area of Rajouri. It is being said that 2 to 3 terrorists are hiding in this area. There is continuous firing between army personnel and terrorists.
Earlier, Head Constable of Jammu and Kashmir Police Bashir Ahmed was martyred in an encounter in Bilwar area of Kathua. He fired at the terrorist and in the process he was also shot. DSP Sukhbir and ASI Niaz Ahmed were also injured in the encounter, who have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. It is being said that the condition of both is now stable.

A terrorist has been killed in an encounter in Kathua. Jammu Zone IPS ADG Anand Jain and DIG JKS Shiv Sharma are present at the spot and are monitoring the operation. Currently, the search for another terrorist is going on in this area. The area has been cordoned off by security forces from all sides and strict surveillance is being maintained everywhere. Security has been beefed up in Kathua’s Kog (Mandli) village after the encounter. Barricades are being put up at many places and every vehicle coming and going is being checked.

Meanwhile, drone pictures of terrorists killed in Kathua have also come to light. The drone shows a Pakistani terrorist killed by security forces. According to Additional Director General of Police, Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, security forces launched a search operation in the area on Saturday, September 28. He received intelligence about the presence of three to four foreign terrorists.
Two terrorists were killed in Kulgam
Earlier, two militants were killed in an encounter between militants and army personnel in Kulgam, while five security personnel, including an officer of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, were injured. The slain terrorists have been identified. The name of one of these terrorists is Aqib Ahmed, a resident of Chadura, Shergojri Budgam. Another terrorist is Umais Wani, a resident of Chawalgam in Kulgam. It is being said that both were working for the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. Meanwhile, the police have seized 2 AK47 rifles, 5 magazines, pistols and other weapons from the terrorists.
