Clash between security forces and terrorists is going on since Monday night in Doda district of Jammu division. 4 jawans including an officer have been martyred in this encounter. The operation is being conducted by a joint team of Army, CRPF and Police. One or two terrorists may be surrounded by security forces. Security forces have cordoned off the area to prevent the terrorists from escaping by taking advantage of the darkness and dense forest.
Following the recent terror attack in Kathua district, teams of security forces are conducting search operations in various areas of Jammu region. In this connection, the security forces are conducting a search operation in the dense forests of Doda. In the meantime, the terrorists opened fire. The encounter has started with counter action.

Officials said that personnel of the National Rifles and Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Special Operations Group launched a joint cordon and search operation at Dhari Gote Urarbagi in the Desa Jungle area at around 7.45 pm, after which the encounter began.
Additional security forces deployed
He said four army personnel, including an officer and a policeman, were injured in the initial gunfight that lasted for more than 20 minutes. Officials said the injured have been taken to hospital and their condition is said to be critical. The army said additional troops had been sent to the area and the operation was ongoing till last reports.
Increase in terrorist activities in Jammu region
In recent times there has been an increase in terrorist activities in the Jammu region. Especially in border districts like Poonch, Doda, Rajouri and Riasi. Security agencies are on high alert in view of the attack. On the other hand, terrorists are adopting various tactics to mislead the security forces.
Security forces are conducting continuous operations
At present 50 terrorists are active in Jammu division. Most of these terrorists are foreigners ie Pakistanis. To eliminate them, joint teams of Army, CRPF and Jammu-Kashmir Police are conducting a large-scale search operation in various districts of Jammu Division. Pakistan is not immune to the nefarious conspiracy to spread terror in Jammu and Kashmir.
