Jammu and Kashmir: BJP has given tickets to 62 so far, removed many senior leaders including 8 ex-ministers, new responsibility for Kavinder Gupta

The BJP announced its sixth list for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections on Sunday. The party has announced the names of 10 candidates in this list. In the list, the party has canceled the ticket of former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta. So far, the party has canceled the tickets of many former ministers and former MLAs, after which the party is now giving them the responsibility of organization to overcome their displeasure.

BJP has finalized its list of 43 candidates in Jammu region. At the same time, BJP has fielded 62 candidates in Jammu and Kashmir so far. The BJP party has so far canceled the tickets of 8 former ministers, 3 former MLAs and 13 other leaders who have left different parties and joined the BJP.

Which leaders ticket cut?

The party has not given a chance to many former ministers this time and their tickets have been cancelled. Former Deputy Chief Minister Dr. The tickets of leaders like Nirmal Singh, former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta, Shyam Chaudhary, Sat Sharma, Bali Bhagat, Ajay Nanda, Sukhnandan Chaudhary and Abdul Gani Kohli have been cancelled. At the same time, the tickets of former MLAs Neelam Langeh, Krishna Lal and Kuldeep Raj have been cancelled.

BJP has fielded five candidates from Jammu division. The tickets of many veterans who were considered strong contenders in their constituencies have also been cut, BJP has fielded Mohammad Idris from Karnah in Kashmir, while Ghulam Mohammad Mir has fielded from Handwara.

Kavinder Gupta’s ticket cancelled

BJP has announced the sixth list of 10 candidates for the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. When the list suffered a major blow, the party canceled the ticket of former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta and fielded Vikram Randhawa from Bahu in Jammu district in his place.

Trying to satisfy the leaders

After the cancellation of tickets, many leaders seemed upset with the party, due to which the party has tried to appease the leaders and take them along. Now the BJP has given a new responsibility to its leaders who have not been given tickets. Sat Sharma has been made the acting state president, before Ravindra Raina, Sat Sharma was the BJP president. Nirmal Singh has been made the Chairman of the Election Campaign Committee. Chaudhary Sukh Nandan has been made the Vice-Chairman of the Election Campaign Committee and Kavinder Gupta the Chairman of the Election Management Committee.

Elections will be held in three phases

Assembly elections are going to be held in Jammu and Kashmir after 10 years, for which all parties including Congress, BJP, PDP, NC have started preparations. Elections are being held on 90 seats in Jammu and Kashmir. The Valley is scheduled to go to polls in three phases, on September 18, September 25 and October 1, with the results to be declared on October 8.
