Accused in police custody
A husband tried to kill his wife due to a family dispute in Uttar Pradesh’s Jalaun district. The husband attacked the wife several times with a sharp weapon. The accused husband continued to attack his wife till he believed her to be dead. The accused husband ran away thinking that his wife was dead. When his son saw his mother in critical condition, he took her to the hospital for treatment. The son himself informed the police. The police arrested the accused husband who committed the crime.
The incident took place at Rendhar curve, Kudari curve, Bangra village, Madhaugadh Kotwali area. Gyan Singh’s son Mulu had a domestic dispute with his wife Maya Devi. The dispute escalated to such an extent that Gyan Singh attacked his wife with a sharp iron weapon kept in the house and continued to attack her until he believed she was dead. After this he ran away from the spot thinking that his wife was dead. When her son Manish alias Golu saw the gruesome incident, he immediately informed the police and admitted his mother to a mass health center for treatment. Seeing the serious condition of the woman, the doctors referred her to the medical college after giving first aid.

The woman is undergoing treatment at Orai Medical College. On receiving information about the incident, the police tracked down the accused Gyan Singh who committed the crime and arrested him from Bangra area itself. A case was registered against the accused under section 109 of BNS on the complaint of son Manish. According to him, the weapon with which he attacked his wife has been found.

Giving information about the incident, Madhaugadh CO Ram Singh said that Gyan Singh had committed this crime due to a domestic dispute. The accused husband brutally assaulted his wife. On his son’s complaint, a case was registered against him under Section 109 of the BNS and he was produced before a judicial magistrate and sent to jail. The woman is undergoing treatment at the Government Medical College in Orai.
