The latest case is from UP’s Basti district, where a young man committed a heinous act of raping a girl. A 10-year-old girl went to a mango orchard with other children to eat mangoes. Meanwhile the garden owner’s son shouted ‘ghost’, after which all the other children ran away, leaving the girl alone. Taking advantage of this, the gardener’s son committed the rape-like incident with the girl.
The case belongs to the Kaptanganj police station area of the district. In a village here, a girl went to a mango orchard with her classmates to eat mangoes. At the same time the garden owner’s son was also present there. Seeing the children coming, the son hid nearby. While the children were plucking mangoes, the orchard owner’s son shouted loudly that ‘there is a ghost, there is a ghost’. Hearing this, the children got scared and started running away from there. However, the innocent 10-year-old girl could not escape with the children.

Seeing the girl alone, the garden owner’s son’s intentions were spoiled. He forcibly raped the girl and then chased her away from the garden. The girl reached her home crying and gave the full details of the incident to her family. The family members were shocked to hear these words from the girl’s mouth. Informing about the incident, the victim’s family filed a complaint at the Kaptanganj police station.
The family has demanded strict action
The police registered a case based on the complaint received. Meanwhile, Kaptanganj police station says that the matter is being investigated. After the incident, there is anger in the victim’s family. The family members of the victim girl have demanded strict action against the accused youth.
