Chhagan Bhujbal and Manoj Jarange.
Maharashtra Food and Civil Supplies Minister Chhagan Bhujbal has made a big statement on Sunday. He clearly said that it is not possible for the Maharashtra government to give reservation to the Maratha community under the category of other backward classes at present. Chhagan Bhujbal also criticized Maratha leader Manoj Jarang Patil. He targeted Jarang to attack other leaders.
He said that there is a grand coalition government in Maharashtra. It is not possible to give reservation to Maratha community from OBC. No reservation will be given to OBCs. Four commissions have said that this is not possible. The Supreme Court has said that this is not possible. If we calculate 54 percent then in Bihar it is 63 percent, I don’t trust the rest of the commissions etc.
Many OBC quota recruitments are pending
He said we are over 54 percent and reserved 27 percent and paid how much? If nine and a half percent of the 27 percent reserve is filled, what is our backlog? Consider a separate reservation after filling our backlog. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar have announced that OBCs will not be affected. No reservation will be given to OBCs. Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray will not give reservation to Marathas from any OBC.

Bhujbal targeted Manoj Jarange
Targeting Jarang, Bhujbal said that Chhatrapati takes the name of Shivaji Maharaj and attacks our people. I was abused for two months, but I did not say anything. But in Beed they burnt houses of MLAs, burnt hotels of OBC workers, assaulted them, threatened the lives of their wives and children. Their houses were burnt to ashes. He said you cannot threaten OBCs and all the likes. Chhagan Bhujbal asked, what right do you have to burn people’s houses?
Politics heated up before the elections
Let us tell you that assembly elections are going to be held in Maharashtra in a few days. The issue of giving reservation to Marathas again is heating up before the assembly elections. Manoj Jarange, who was demanding Maratha reservation, demanded that Marathas should be given reservation from the OBC category, although Chhagan Bhugbal has been consistently opposing it. A heated argument is going on between Chhagan Bhujbal and Manoj Jarang on this matter.
