Is Kirori Lal Meena the Minister of Rajasthan? This question has become a topic of discussion everywhere in the state. The question came up once again on Tuesday when he wrote the minister in his bio on his social media platform. However, later he deleted the word minister and wrote MLA.
Dr. Kirori Lal Meena had resigned from the post of cabinet minister in early July last month. However, his resignation has not yet been accepted and no action is being taken in this regard. Kirori Lal Meena posted ‘Cabinet Minister’ in her bio on social media platform X this morning. However, after some time he changed his bio again and wrote MLA Sawai Madhopur.

Amid political debate over making Kirori Lal Meena a cabinet minister, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Madan Rathore said Kirori Lal is still a minister. I spoke to him just yesterday and he is the State Disaster Minister.

Regarding the disappearance of the disaster minister during a natural calamity in the state, BJP state president Rathore said that it is very necessary for the government to do its job. Meena is currently on a tour of Dausa area. He is constantly contacting people.
Kirori Lal Meena hails from eastern Rajasthan and is counted among the great leaders of the Meena community. After elections in December last year, the BJP returned to power in Rajasthan and a new government was formed under the leadership of Bhajan Lal Sharma, who was made the Minister for Agriculture and Disaster Relief in the Bhajan Lal government.
Resigned from the post of minister last month
However, during the campaign for the Lok Sabha elections held in April-May this year, he announced that if the BJP lost even one of the seven seats in the region under his charge, he would resign from his post. However, the seats of Bharatpur, Dausa, Bhilwara, Tonk-Sawai Madhopur, Kota-Bundi, Karauli-Dholpur and Jaipur Rural were held by Meena. But BJP had to face defeat in 4 of these 7 seats. BJP had to fight hard to win the Jaipur rural parliamentary seat.
On 4 July, Meena resigned as a cabinet minister, taking moral responsibility for the BJP’s defeat in eastern Rajasthan. However, it is being said that Chief Minister Bhajan Lal has not accepted his resignation.
