Investigation of Pune hit and run case reaches Madhya Pradesh! ACP reaches Ashwini and Anish’s house

The investigation into Pune’s much talked about hit and run case has now reached Madhya Pradesh as well. A two-member team led by Pune Police ACP i.e. Assistant Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil reached Jabalpur and Virsingpur Pali village of Umaria on Wednesday. The team met the families of software engineer Ashwini Costa, daughter of Jabalpur, and software engineer Anish Abdhia, a resident of Umaria Birsinghpur Pali, who lost their lives in the accident. A team of Pune police met the family members and expressed grief over the accident and also hoped to get justice to both the families. Along with this, the families of both were also informed about the action taken so far by the Pune Police in the much talked about hit-and-run case.

Suresh Costa, father of Ashwini Costa, who died in the accident, said that Pune’s Assistant Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil reached home with a condolence message from the Pune Commissioner. While delivering the commissioner’s message, he paid tribute to the daughter and assured that whoever is guilty in this whole matter will not be spared. He has assured that strict action will be taken against the doctor, police and all the people involved in this whole matter. Ashwini’s father Suresh Costa told Assistant Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil that the accused in the entire case should be punished in such a way that it sets a precedent. Along with this, the entire case has also been demanded to be run on a fast track.

What did the families demand from the Maharashtra Police?

The family of Anish Avadia, a resident of Birsinghpur Pali in Umaria district, who died in the accident, said Pune Assistant Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil along with the local police reached the residence late in the evening, where the team first garlanded Anish’s photo. While doing so, he sent a condolence message to the commissioner. He also informed about the action taken so far in this matter. He has said that the case will now be tried in a fast track court, due to which we now hope that our son will get justice.

10 to 11 people have been arrested in this case

Assistant Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil said that on behalf of the Maharashtra government, he has reached the residence of late software engineers Ashwini Costa and Anish Avadia today to pay their respects. The family members were also informed about the action taken so far. So far 10 to 11 people have been arrested in connection with this case.

Both the families will get justice at the earliest

Asked if the action taken by the local MLA had any effect, he said that the matter is still under investigation. Crime branch officials will be able to provide more information. The Chief Minister of Maharashtra has taken this matter very seriously. All possible steps will be taken to get justice in this case at the earliest. Whoever is guilty in the whole matter will not be spared. Along with this, the police have assured both the families that the accused will be given strict punishment.
