International Yoga Day: What did PM Modi say about the new yoga economy?

Today is the 10th International Yoga Day. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed yoga along with 7000 people on the banks of Dal Lake in Srinagar. Earlier, he addressed the audience. From the land of Kashmir, PM Modi wished everyone a Happy 10th International Yoga Day. “Jammu and Kashmir is the land of yoga practice. This endless journey of yoga continues,” Prime Minister Modi said. “The number of people doing yoga in the world is increasing. Yoga is becoming a part of the daily routine in many countries of the world. “Yoga has been included in the education system in Saudi Arabia,” Prime Minister Modi said.

“Research on yoga is going on in the world. World leaders are now talking about yoga. Society is changing because of yoga,” PM Modi said. “In 2014, I proposed International Yoga Day in the United Nations. India’s proposal was supported by 177 countries. This was a record, since then new records are being set on Yoga Day,” PM Modi said.

‘Concentration is the greatest strength of the human mind’

“This year, a 101-year-old yoga teacher from France was honoured with the Padma Shri award in India. She never visited India, but dedicated her entire life to the promotion of yoga,” PM Modi said. “Yoga is not just a science, it is a science. It becomes difficult for the human brain to focus on a single subject. Concentration is a great strength of the human mind. It is possible to achieve this concentration through yoga,” PM Modi said.

What did the Prime Minister say on Yoga Economy?

“Yoga has expanded in the last 10 years. Perceptions towards yoga have changed. A new yoga economy is on the way. Yoga tourism is seen from Rishikesh, Kashi to Kerala. People from all over the world are coming here to learn authentic yoga. People are hiring private yoga instructors for fitness. Yoga has created new employment opportunities,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.
